SK Customs is no stranger to dramatic representations of historical figures adorning limited-edition 1911s. Its catalog of custom-themed firearms is enough to make any collector pay attention. For example is the Pancho Villa from SK Customs, honoring the Mexican Revolutionary.

The SK Customs “La Revolución” Pancho Villa 1911

The new “La Revolución” series tells the story of the 10-year Mexican Revolution with a series of limited-edition 1911s. Starting on a canvas of beautifully polished, blued steel, selective silver and gold plating set off the overall visual storytelling. Likewise, silver- and gold-plated hardware accent the piece, rounding out its exquisite styling. Additionally, new Kirinite style grips feature gold peso medallions finishing the high-quality aesthetics.

The left side of the slide is embellished with Cannas floral scroll framing a dramatic illustration of Pancho Villa on horseback galloping into battle. Moreover, behind the rear cocking serrations is The Monument to the Revolution in Mexico City.

Just forward of the depiction of Villa is the general’s Army, the División del Norte, holding a banner. On the banner is written Villa’s iconic phrase, “Fusílenlo, Después Averiguamos,” translated as “Shoot him, we’ll find out later.”

The right side of the slide has “REVOLUCION” emblazoned in gold-plated lettering just under the ejection port. More Cannas floral scroll surround another depiction of Pancho Villa fearlessly riding into battle.

A scroll with the phrase “El Centauro del Norte,” translated as “The Centaur of the North,” adds to the theme. Furthermore, just behind the rear cocking serrations is the coat of arms Free and Sovereign State of Durango emblem with the edition number out of 300 below it.

Rounding out the theme is the top of the slide with an accentuated portrait of Francisco Pancho Villa. Signifying the 100th anniversary of his death, the portrait is titled “1878-1923 Centenario,” just below. Villa’s bandolier, loaded with .30-30 cartridges, rides above the top of the ejection port. Finally, forward of the rear sight is Mexico’s coat of arms (1899 – 1917).

The Pancho Villa will have a limited-edition run of 300 full-size Colt 1911s, chambered in .38 Super.
