La Revolucion (Venustiano Carranza Primer Jefe)

SK Customs is proud to introduce “VENUSTIANO CARRANZA,” the second production in the historic Mexican “La Revolución” Series.
After seven years of civil unrest, Carranza, also known as “Primer Jefe” or First Chief, proclaims the modern Mexican constitution, which promised the restoration of lands to native peoples, the separation of church and state and dramatic economic and educational reforms.

Carranza consolidated enough power in the capital that he called a convention in 1916 to revise the 1857 liberal constitution. The Constitutionalist faction had fought to defend it and return Mexico to constitutional rule. Carranza was elected the first president of the new Mexican republic following the promulgation of a new revolutionary Mexican Constitution of 1917 and served from 1917 to 1920.

Carranza is a limited-edition production run of only 300 Colt 1911 Full Size Government Models chambered in 38 Super. Featuring a high polished royal blue finish and selective 24k Gold controls, each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.

The forward slide art depicts the Constitutional Army following Carranza into the city center with the words “Paseo De La Reforma” (Promenade of the Reform) engraved in 24k Gold.

The right side represents a continuation of the series with “REVOLUCION” displayed in 24k Gold, the Carranza Family Coat of Arms and a depiction of the Carranza’s revolutionist title “Insurrectos Mexicanos” (Mexican Insurgents).

To complete the firearm, a portrait of Carranza sits on the top of the slide alongside the iconic Mexican Eagle respective for its era. The firearm wears a set of custom Kirinite® grips embedded with a set of custom 24k Gold Peso Medallions.
